How ContextPack handles data on the website and in the extension.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

1. Overview

ContextPack is developed by Elevium Studio with a local-first architecture. The extension extracts, cleans, organizes, and stores selected content on the user's device. This content is not sent to Elevium Studio servers.

2. Data processed by the extension

When you request a capture, the extension may access the title, URL, main text, and selected passages from the pages you choose. It may also store settings, recipes, projects, packages, favorites, monitors, and a limited product event history locally.

This data remains in Chrome's local storage. The extension does not access pages in the background for advertising purposes and does not sell personal data.

3. Browser permissions

Tab and scripting permissions let the extension list open pages and run extraction only after an explicit action. Storage, context menus, alarms, notifications, and side panel permissions support features described in the interface. Broad site access is needed because selected sources may belong to different domains.

4. Website and technical data

This is a static website. Our hosting provider may process essential technical data, such as IP address, timestamp, browser agent, and security logs, to deliver and protect the service. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking tools in this version.

5. Purchases and licenses

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, billing, tax, and fraud-prevention data under its own privacy policy. Elevium Studio may receive information needed to activate and support your license, such as your email address, transaction identifier, and entitlement status. We do not receive your full card number.

6. User-directed sharing

When you copy, download, open an integration, or send a package to another tool, you choose to share that content with the destination service. Any further processing is governed by that service's terms and policies.

7. Retention and deletion

You can remove local data by deleting items in the extension or uninstalling it. Purchase and support records may be retained as necessary to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and contractual obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal data under our control. Rights directly related to payment may also be exercised with Paddle.

9. Children

ContextPack is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without the authorization required by applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the product, law, or service providers. The date of the current version appears at the top of this page.
